Background

The Mountain Investor Report came about as a natural progression from many years of writing essays and articles on the subject of economics and investing.

More than two years before the collapse of Lehman Brothers in September 2008 I began warning of the approaching financial storm and advising people to invest in hard assets particularly precious metals.

As the 'Financial Meltdown' and 'Credit Crunch' unfolded in the media, I was struck by how many people particularly economists and politicians used the phrase "no one saw this coming"! This was not my experience at all, indeed the majority of people I was following were writing about issues such as the US housing bubble, subprime mortgages and the problems in the asset backed securities market long before it hit the mainstream.

Having chronicled events before and during this crisis I have been able to filter out the views and opinions of those that didn't see the storm approaching, and today I follow the work of over 100 of the world's top money managers, economists and authors all of whom did see this coming.

I now produce The Mountain Investor Report on a full time basis in the hope that I can inform, protect and enrich all of my subscribers.
